San Francisco Boys Chorus is a Grammy Award-winning organization dedicated to providing exceptional music education, vocal training, and performance opportunities to boys from all cultural, ethnic, and economic backgrounds in the San Francisco area. Established in 1948, SFBC is one of the oldest nonprofit choral arts organizations in the country, committed to nurturing young talent and fostering a love for music.
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Camp Director to lead our one-week overnight summer music camp, June 21-28, 2026, in Angwin CA. The Camp Director will oversee program operations, coordinate and train staff, and ensure an enriching experience for all participants. Join us in inspiring the next generation of musicians and fostering a vibrant musical community.
Payment will be issued as a single lump sum for the full scope of work. All advanced planning, hiring and training is managed by the Camp Director prior to the camp dates.

Requirements
Responsibilities
Plan and coordinate the summer music camp program, ensuring alignment with our mission.
Hire, train and manage camp staff to deliver the best possible camp experience for all campers.
Create and oversee daily extracurricular activities.
Foster a safe, inclusive, and inspiring environment for all campers.
Collaborate with educational staff to develop engaging curriculum and activities.
Monitor program effectiveness and implement improvements.
Communicate effectively with parents, staff and students.
Ensure compliance with organizational policies and safety standards.
This job is partly hybrid meaning there will be some administrative work that can be completed remotely before the actual camp dates. During camp week, all work will be done in-person at the camp facilities.
Qualifications
Experience in camp management or educational program coordination.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Background in music education preferred.
Ability to work collaboratively with camp staff and educational staff.
Passion for music education and youth development.
Prior experience working with children or adolescents is highly desirable.
