What We're Looking For
Someone with one or two cycles of campaign experience — in any capacity, whether field, fundraising, research, or operations — who is highly organized, results-oriented, and not afraid to hold people accountable. You need to understand the basic structure of a political campaign and genuinely enjoy working in politics.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day campaign logistics and candidate scheduling
- Organize and staff the candidate's fundraising call time (15–18 hours per week)
- Keep the candidate and their inner circle focused on the highest-priority goals
- Track tasks and deadlines and hold people accountable
- Staff the candidate at events, forums, endorsement meetings, and fundraisers
- Recruit and coordinate volunteers as needed
To Apply
Submit your resume and cover letter with the subject line "Campaign Coordinator — [Your Name]."
Your cover letter must describe your previous campaign experience, explain why you're interested in this position, and include your earliest available start date. Applications without a cover letter will not be reviewed.
Requirements
- At least one campaign cycle of experience working on a political campaign
- Exceptionally organized and able to manage multiple priorities under pressure
- Someone who takes initiative and isn't afraid to hold people — including the candidate — accountable to deadlines and priorities
- Comfort working long hours in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment, including evenings and weekends
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills
- A car and a valid driver's license
Preferred: Lives in San Mateo or another Bay Area county, or is able to relocate immediately. Complimentary local housing available.
