Overview

The Cart and Bag position is a part time position that requires good availability throughout the seven-day week. Cart attendants service guests and members from arrival to departure and provide personal attention and superior service. Duties include handling guests' golf equipment and belongings, golf car staging, detailing, and upkeep. Other duties include collection, cleaning, and distribution of range balls along with cleaning of the range building and equipment.

Experience Required

• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English.
• High School diploma or its equivalent.
• Must be at least 19 years of age with a valid drivers' license and clean driving record.
• Working knowledge of golf and the rules of golf.
• Prior experience at a golf facility or golf retail facility is preferred.
• Must have good availability from early mornings to late in the evening, including consistent and ongoing availability on weekends and all holidays.
• Pelican Hill is open 365 days a year from before sunrise to well after sunset.

Essential Responsibilities

• Provide consistent service that meets or exceeds guest expectations at a five star, five diamond facility.
• Prepare and stage golf cars for daily play.
• Inspect golf cars to ensure safe operating standards are maintained.
• Receive, tag, and load golf bags on assigned golf cars or place on the range or in an appropriate storage area.
• Issue rental sets as directed and complete documentation.
• Wash, dry, park, and connect golf cars to charge. Dry coolers, fill sand bottles, secure bag straps, and windshields to conform to company standards for appearance and cleanliness.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the golf car barn, staging areas, and practice facility. Separate recycled materials and remove trash.
• Identify damaged golf cars and equipment and place in designated areas for repair and maintenance.
• Rotate golf cars daily as directed to maximize battery life. Check chargers and charger connections.
• Clean, inspect and organize rental sets. Store in designated area and rotate sets periodically as directed.
• Operate the pressure washer and range equipment.
• Maintain safe working conditions and adhere to company safety standards.
• Perform all duties as assigned by management to the standard expected.
• Perform all other tasks or projects as assigned by management and supervisors.
• Comply with company grooming and appearance guidelines.
• Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions at any time of day.
• Standing and walking for extended periods is required.
• Work will require frequent lifting and carrying of up to 60 pounds (golf clubs, range balls, luggage, boxes, supplies) and will include frequent kneeling, squatting, bending, and overhead reaching.
