Remuneration: Above NSW award

Requirements
Responsibilities:
In this role, you will work as a consultant psychiatrist within a private hospital setting treating/admitting new patients and providing clinical management to voluntarily admitted patients. This includes but is not limited to:
- Consultant Psychiatrist is expected to oversee the treatment plans and care of a manageable number of admitted inpatients on average with the support of the multidisciplinary team.
- Review inpatients as acuity requires and or a minimum of 3 days per week
Undertake admission referrals to Mental Health Day Programs and review day patients’ dependant on risk and acuity of patient. - Provide referrer discharge summary and advice in writing and via phone in a timely manner especially when a shared care model is in place.
- Attend all Clinical Governance Hospital committees as invited and or requested.
- Liaise with the Mental Health Intake team around complex admission requests and new admissions
- Undertake clinical duties within scope of practice, in line with the Hospital CEO request
Requirements:
Specialist APRHA registration, and Australian or New Zealand citizenship, permanent residency, or a relevant visa.
