PostMatch Opportunity: ACGMEAccredited CLP Fellowship at BIDMC & VA Boston
Neuropsychiatry and Psycho-Oncology pathways available
The BIDMC & VA Boston Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry Fellowship has an open position for the upcoming academic year, July 2026 to June 2027.
This is a one-year, ACGME-accredited fellowship affiliated with Harvard Medical School, offering full-spectrum training in hospital-based Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry across Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and the VA Boston Healthcare System. Fellows train in high-acuity inpatient consultation while maintaining longitudinal outpatient clinics throughout the year.
The program combines broad CL training with focused, mentored clinical pathways. Fellows may pursue advanced experience in neuropsychiatry, including cognitive neurology, memory disorders, movement disorders, and brain-behavior relationships, as well as psycho-oncology through longitudinal cancer wellness psychiatry and consultation in complex medical settings.
Fellows divide their year evenly between BIDMC and the VA Boston, gaining experience across two distinct health systems and developing fluency in systems-based care, interdisciplinary collaboration, and consultation across varied institutional cultures.
The fellowship is well suited for graduating psychiatry residents, current fellows considering a shift toward hospital-based psychiatry, or early-career psychiatrists seeking subspecialty training. Full-time positions are available. Part-time training and flexible start dates may be considered for the right candidate.
There is no overnight or weekend call. Fellows receive four weeks of vacation, protected weekly didactics and supervision, optional moonlighting opportunities, and eligibility for ABPN subspecialty board certification in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry.
