Tulane University’s Counseling and Psychiatric Services (CAPS) department plays a critical role in advancing student wellbeing as a core institutional priority. CAPS provides developmentally appropriate mental health services through direct clinical care, campus-wide outreach, and consultative support across the university community.

Open Positions
Staff Psychologist
The Staff Psychologist provides direct clinical services within the Counseling Center, including individual and group therapy, urgent assessments, consultations, workshops, and outreach programming. This role collaborates closely with campus partners, contributes to prevention and education efforts, and participates in team meetings, trainings, and quality improvement initiatives.
Assistant Director, Training
The Assistant Director, Training serves on the CAPS leadership team and combines direct clinical care with responsibility for training and professional development. This role oversees the doctoral internship program, provides clinical supervision, supports onboarding and continuing education, and delivers individual and group therapy, crisis assessments, and outreach.
Associate Director of Clinical Services
The Associate Director of Clinical Services partners with the Counseling Center Director to oversee high-quality clinical services across all locations. This senior role leads daily clinical operations, supervises a multidisciplinary team, supports data-informed planning and quality improvement, develops policies and protocols, and provides direct clinical care, crisis response, outreach, and consultation.
