Requisition ID: 65009 Title: Facilities EHS Specialist - Medical Devices Salary Range: Salary Minimum: $74,750.00 Salary Maximum:$138,000.00
Arthrex is a global medical device company and a leader in new product development and medical education in orthopedics. As a Facilities EHS Specialist, the ideal candidate will be responsible for the dual mission of site maintenance leadership and environmental health and safety excellence. Provide hands-on supervision to maintenance staff, coordinate facility upgrades with regulatory agencies, and ensure all operations meet Quality Management System (QMS) and OSHA/EPA requirements. We are seeking a candidate with a Bachelor's degree or 3 years of comparable experience who can seamlessly transition from technical equipment maintenance to high-level safety training. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on supervision and guidance to the maintenance and custodial personnel.
- Perform frequent evaluations of the Arthrex site to ensure the highest level of care and appearance.
- Manage the contractor and vendor relationships and documentation.
- Foster a work environment that emphasizes the implementation of quality and safety practices.
- Coordinates facility changes with contractors, building trades and regulatory agencies.
- Present training programs to personnel related to accident prevention and workplace safety.
- Maintain statistical data and prepare reports regarding occupational injuries and accidents.
- Participate in new hire orientations and perform inspections of Fire and Emergency systems.
- Recognize and correct safety hazards in the workplace.
- Must have flexible hours with occasional evening and weekend work.
- Involvement in the creation and maintenance of company safety teams.
- Develop equipment and job specific hazard analysis.
- Assist in maintaining Hazardous Material storage / disposal and regulatory compliance.
- Support all areas of the Arthrex Environmental, Health and Safety Program.
- Perform workplace inspections and training to maintain compliance with applicable OSHA and EPA Regulations and established procedures.
- Perform & Document equipment maintenance (PM's) as required by the Quality Management System
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor's degree or 3 years' comparable experience required in implementation of EHS programs & Facilities maintenance required.
