Nissin FoodsPosition Summary:
The Forklift Operator will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack materials efficiently and safely. This role is critical in maintaining smooth operations, ensuring proper handling of goods, and supporting the overall workflow of the facility.
Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and transport materials within the facility or to delivery vehicles.
- Inspect and perform routine maintenance on forklifts to ensure proper operation and safety compliance.
- Accurately track and document inventory movements, including labeling, organizing, and maintaining storage areas.
- Adhere to company safety policies and procedures, identifying and reporting any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized workspace, including removing debris and properly storing tools and materials.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve production and delivery goals.
- Follow work schedules and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and operational demands.
Qualifications, Skills and Education:
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid Forklift Certification.
- 1+ year experience operating forklifts or similar equipment in a warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of workplace safety protocols and best practices.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move more 50+ pounds.
