Dive into summer at a mountainside pool where breathtaking views meet unforgettable moments.

At Girl Scouts San Diego’s Camp Winacka, you’ll help keep campers safe, build their confidence in the water, and turn every splash into a memory that lasts long after summer ends. 

As a Lifeguard you’ll live onsite and:

• Supervise pool and waterfront activities
• Provide active surveillance and respond to emergencies or rescues
• Assist with swim lessons, skill assessments, and swim classifications
• Maintain pool equipment and follow all safety protocols
• Support daily camp life - because teamwork makes camp thrive

Employment Details:  

• Dates: June 15 - July 25, 2026 (opportunity to get Lifeguard certified prior to start date)
• Pay: $ 101- $106 per day (includes meals and lodging)
• Location: Live onsite at Camp Winacka in Julian, CA 

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

• 18+ years old by June 15, 2026.
• Available to work the full camp season (June 15 – July 25, 2026)
• Current American Red Cross (or ACA equivalent) Lifeguard certification
  • Not currently certified? That's ok! We have opportunities to get certified prior to staff training. 
• Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification  
• Comfortable living and working in a overnight camp environment.
• Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
