Job Purpose

We are currently seeking a Small Tool Mechanic to join our team. This role is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of hoisting and rigging equipment, including chain hoists, come-along, tirfors, shackles, slings, and other related gear. The successful candidate will ensure all equipment is in top working condition and meets safety standards through a proactive preventative maintenance program. This position is Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on hoisting and rigging tools.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues with chain hoists, come-along, tirfors, and similar equipment.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
• Ensure all equipment complies with applicable safety regulations and standards.
• Collaborate with the rental operations team to prioritize service needs.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Assist with inventory management and parts ordering as needed.

Conditions of Employment

• Previous experience servicing small tools or rigging equipment preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand and power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and safety guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A valid driver's license and a recent abstract will be required.

Pay Range: $27 -$29 per hour
