Role Description
This is an on-site role for a Summer Day Camp Counselor at Maagalim Community Circles located in Woodland Hills, CA. The Summer Day Camp Counselor will be responsible for organizing and leading activities, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of campers, fostering a positive and inclusive camp environment, and promoting engagement and teamwork among participants. Additional tasks may include assisting with educational activities, supervising recreational events, and supporting the overall camp operations. This role will take place in person for 6 weeks (full contract only) from June 15 until July 24, every Monday through Friday, 9am - 3pm.
Requirements
Qualifications
Familiarity with camp environments and experience in planning or participating in camp activities.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with a diverse group of individuals, including children and staff.
Excellent communication skills to lead activities and effectively address the needs of campers.
Background in education or mentoring is highly beneficial.
A passion for working with children (preferably special needs young adults) and fostering a safe, inclusive, and fun environment.
Ability to work on-site in Woodland Hills, CA, for the duration of the summer camp program.
