Description
The National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials (NAHRO) is seeking a Training and Certification Associate working in close partnership with the Director of Professional Development and Certification, Senior Training Operations Manager, and the Manager of Certification to build on NAHRO’s over 90-year commitment to being the leading housing and community development association that inspires the creation of strong and sustainable communities across the United States.
The purpose of this position is to successfully carry out policies and procedures needed to support both the Professional Development and Certification departments. Specifically, this position will work closely with the Manager of Training Operations and Manager of Certification.
Key Responsibilities
The Training and Certification Associate manages the full administrative and logistical lifecycle of onsite (in-person) training programs to ensure seamless delivery and accurate financial processing:
- Manage the end-to-end onsite training lifecycle from initial setup through final documentation.
- Generate and maintain accurate registration and attendance lists for all in-person training sessions.
- Order all necessary training materials and supplies required for onsite sessions.
- Monitor and troubleshoot the shipment of materials to ensure timely arrival at training locations.
- Calculate and issue client invoices based on verified participant counts and completed certification exam numbers.
- Reconcile and process expense reports for instructors and external printing partners to maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely vendor payments.
- Provide customer service support for Professional Development and Certification Department through a shared phone-line and shared inbox.
- Assist the Professional Development and Certification Department with implementation of a learning management system, Oasis, to enhance learner and faculty experience.
- Provide meeting and logistical support as requested.
- Provide recommendations to improve departmental efficiency and effectiveness.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Technology Overview
NAHRO utilizes Microsoft Outlook, Office (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, One Note, Excel), Protech (built in Dynamics 365) as its Association Management System (AMS), and Oasis as its Learning Management System (LMS). Additionally, NAHRO utilizes Adobe platforms, Power Bi, Zoom (i.e., webinar, meeting, phone), Canva, DocuSign and Informz as its email marketing and information sharing platform.

- Knowledge of the policies, procedures, goals, objectives, operational entities, requirements, and activities as they apply to the assigned area of responsibility in the NAHRO.
- Knowledge of the mission and activities of other NAHRO departments.
Skill in effective oral and written communication, AP style preferred. - Excellent customer service skills; customer friendly and kind manner.

- Excellent project management skills: coordinating, scheduling, tracking, implementing and evaluating.

- Interest in instructional design is a plus!
Compensation
The salary range is $45,000-$55,000. NAHRO offers a generous slate of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, transportation allowances, and retirement.
