Veterinarian - Academy Animal Hospital

Location: Solana Beach, CA
Employment Type: Full-Time

At Academy Animal Hospital, every day brings variety and purpose. You might start your morning treating a dog with an ear infection, then help a cat with urinary issues, and finish with two newly adopted guinea pigs.

Our team is designed to let you focus on what you do best, diagnosing and treating patients. Here's how we support you:

• Experienced Support Staff: Nurses and veterinary technicians handle estimates, diagnostics, vaccines, and treatments.
• Client Care Team: Inputs pre-visit questionnaires and initiates emotional medical records (we're a Fear Free Certified hospital).
• Technology Integration:
  
  • AI-assisted medical note recording
  • InVue for automated ear cytology interpretation
  • SediVue for automated urinalysis interpretation

• Mentorship: Our medical director is available for guidance, especially with exotic pets.

You'll have the freedom to focus on patient care without being bogged down by administrative tasks.

Bonus Opportunities:
Interested in wildlife medicine? Help out in our small on-site wildlife hospital-maybe apply a wing wrap to a crow with a fractured clavicle over lunch. Or take a full hour break since you won't have records to type up!

Requirements:

• DVM or equivalent degree
• Licensure to practice veterinary medicine in [State]
• Passion for companion animal care (exotics experience is a plus!)
