Job Summary:
The Right of Way (ROW) Agent position negotiates rights for surface or subsurface agreements within project areas and parameters defined by clients. ROW Agents must be able to effectively communicate the principles and advantages of the project and related contract(s) and agreements to landowner(s), attorneys, local/state/federal agencies, and/or other project stakeholders throughout a project life cycle.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Primarily responsible for securing property rights through agreements with landowners for land being sought for development.
Responsible for researching, negotiating, and acquiring completed agreements for right-of-way construction.
Research easement rights, title records, and ownership information.
Negotiate easements, permits, licenses, and other agreements.
Make independent decisions within established parameters on how best to approach landowners and proceed with contract negotiations.
Meet with landowners either at their property or another agreed upon location.
Establish trust and rapport with landowners to facilitate negotiations and a positive working relationship.
Obtain licensing and permits, if required.
Explain project details to landowners including expectations, procedures, timing, and financial arrangements.
Provide reports to Project Managers and clients regarding the status of negotiations and the details of executed agreements.
Ability to prepare all necessary project documents related to the project.Other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
Minimum 4 years of experience in outside sales, real estate, negotiating contracts, leases and or property sale agreements or equivalent related experiences.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
Professional certification preferred
Requirements

Ability to prioritize and organize work to meet project deadlines
Ability to gain the trust of clients and landowners to facilitate the lease negotiation process
High level of professionalism and ethical standards
Significant travel may be required and work outside normal work hours may be required to reach and meet with landowners
Ability to travel to landowner residences or other agreed upon meeting locations
