



Description
The Designer 2 (D2) will be on multiple projects and project teams of varying size. The D2 will collaborate with the BRS project team on a daily or weekly basis and assure their responsibilities for project documentation are created to the firm’s standards for quality. The D2 will collaborate with the Design Manager (DM) or Project Manager (PM) to support the process for design and documentation. Creating what is needed to describe the design and the building to the Client and the Contractor – design products, coordinated building systems, appropriate level of information relative to the associated milestone phase, etc. – is paramount to their role.
Requirements
Delivery
- Collaborate with project DM / PM to support the design and documentation process
- Create documentation and manage Consultants
- Understand project workflow and forecast / anticipate documentation and coordination needs
- May teach student intern assigned to project team
- Good knowledge of building systems and constructability
- Proficient in management of daily tasks – able to work independently within one day’s responsibilities without DM or PM check-ins
- Ability to work on a computer for 40+ hours/ week
Marketing
- Learn the firm’s Purpose, Mission, Vision and differentiators that make our firm unique and bring value to our clients
- Participate in marketing via relationships developed on projects

- Implement firm standards on projects
- Collaborate and communicate extensively within project teams
Leadership
- Negotiate with BRS team members on a project-specific basis to define extent of responsibilities
- Provide D level leadership by example on project teams in a collaborative manner
