A recently formed, fast-growing, private investment firm based in Los Angeles is seeking a highly-intelligent, well-rounded Financial Analyst (FA) to support the rapid expansion of two of the fastest-growing laundromat operators in the U.S.  The role is remote-based.

This is a broad, cross-functional analyst role with a heavy emphasis on acquisition underwriting, store level financial analysis, investor communications and a variety of special projects (vend pricing, local market dynamics, equipment optimization, etc.)  The role will work across acquisitions, financial modeling, FP&A, market analysis, and investor communications, with exposure to marketing and operations as the business scales.  The FA works directly with the leadership team, and will be expected to think independently, figure things out fast, and get things done.

Responsibilities:

Deal Analysis & Underwriting:  Support acquisitions with financial modeling, due diligence, and market comps.  Build models that actually get used to make investment decisions. 

Business Intelligence:  Analyze store-level KPIs, customer mix, and equipment age.  Translate messy data into clear insights that drive decisions. 

Special Projects:  Tackle high-priority initiatives such as analyzing new metro markets, multi-million capex expenditures, AI camera SOPs, and digital loyalty programs to drive enterprise value. No two weeks will look the same. 

Presentations & Communication:  Build sharp, investor-ready decks and reports including quarterly investor communications.  Turn analysis into stories and visuals leadership and investors can act on. 

Marketing & Growth:  Support marketing campaigns and branding efforts.  Help craft strategies to grow customer traffic and loyalty.

Requirements

Competencies and Attributes:

Education:  Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Data/Analytics, or similar from a strong academic program. 

Experience:  1-4 years.  Prior internships or full-time experience in investment banking, private equity, or corporate strategy a plus but not required.  Must be a smart, motivated team member. 

Skills:  Excel wizardry (modeling, not just formatting).  Familiarity with AI tools to generate operational leverage from day 1.  Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.  Data literacy (bonus if you’ve used BI tools, SQL, Tableau, Looker, etc.). 

Mindset:  Super smart, hungry, and independent.  Comfortable working remotely and figuring things out without handholding.  Detail-obsessed but able to see the big picture.  Startup mentality:  proactive, resourceful, and execution-oriented.
