This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing golf course maintenance department! Significant club-wide momentum is pushing Green Hills in a new direction. The club is considering a full renovation within the next 2-3 years. Change and modernization is already underway. This is an opportunity to be involved essentially from the ground up and have a major stake in the rebirth and long-term success of the club.

Candidates should be eager and excited to learn as well as contribute to the success of the maintenance team.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Irrigation monitoring and implementation
• Spray supervision and occasional application
• Autonomous mower management and expansion
• Record keeping and data collection
• Supply and chemical inventory
• Staff supervision, including weekends
• Hard work
• Good attitude

General Requirements

• Minimum 1 season of experience on a golf course in maintenance.
• General understanding of application of turf care products including pesticides and fertilizers.
• Irrigation repair and basic understanding of irrigation principles.

Educational Requirements

• Completion or enrollment in 2 or 4 year turf program or extensive golf course experience.

Other Requirements

• Strong work ethic, excellent oral and written communication skills, a valid driver's license, and ability to interact with members, managers and employees.
• Spanish speaking a plus.
• Obtain California QAL within 6 months of hire date.
