Description
Position Title: AM Line Cook Department: Culinary Reports To: Executive Chef / Sous Chef Location: Contra Costa Country Club, Pleasant Hill, CASchedule: Morning shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed
Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled AM Line Cook to join our culinary team at our prestigious private country club. This role is responsible for executing high-quality a la carte breakfast and lunch service in a fast-paced, member-focused environment. Weekend availability is essential, as this position plays a key role in delivering exceptional dining experiences during peak club hours.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and execute a la carte breakfast and lunch items to club standards
Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies before service
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations
Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications
Ensure food is prepared safely and efficiently, adhering to health and sanitation guidelines
Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure smooth service and timely execution
Assist with prep work for upcoming services and events as needed
Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to ensure member satisfaction
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of line cook experience, preferably in upscale or private club settings
Strong knowledge of breakfast and lunch preparation techniques
Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays
Excellent knife skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
ServSafe or equivalent food safety certification preferred
Positive attitude and commitment to hospitality excellence
Work Environment & Schedule
Morning shifts typically begin between 5:30 AM - 6:30 AM
Weekend and holiday availability is required
Fast-paced kitchen environment with high member interaction
