The Opportunity
CCWD is seeking two (2) skilled, motivated, and team-oriented Assistant/Associate Engineers to join the Construction Division in the Engineering Department. These appointments can be made at either the Assistant or Associate level, depending on the successful applicant's qualifications and will be located at our Administrative Office, in Concord, CA.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage construction of new applicant services projects and a variety of emerging projects outside of the Capital Improvement Program.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with coworkers, contractors, and consultants.
- Develop project schedules and identify priority tasks and critical path elements.
- Coordinate contract change orders, submittals, and requests for information (RFIs).
- Administer consultant contracts, coordinating efforts between consultants and project stakeholders to ensure timely and effective project delivery.
- Communicate project updates and key issues to CCWD management, internal departments, partner agencies, local jurisdictions, private and public utilities, and the public.
- Promote safe project execution by coordinating Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and Energy Control Procedures (ECP), identifying construction hazards, and fostering a strong safety culture throughout construction.
- Assess and manage risks related to project scope, schedule, and budget to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Act as a technical resource, providing expertise and guidance across various CCWD initiatives.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
