Campaign Intern
Location: San Francisco, CA (Hybrid)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Temporary (Summer 2026, with potential to extend through November 2026)
Compensation: $3,000/month
About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic, organized, and proactive Campaign Intern to support two distinct ballot measure campaigns. This role is ideal for a student or recent graduate eager to get real, hands-on experience in campaign management. The intern will support the Campaign Manager and campaign leadership with day-to-day operations, communications, and events — and will come away with a broad understanding of how a campaign runs from the inside. This position will split time approximately 50/50 between the two campaigns, requiring strong time management and the ability to track parallel workstreams.

Key Responsibilities
Administrative & General Support
Assist with research, memos, and special projects as directed by campaign leadership
Support scheduling and calendar management for campaign leadership
Event & Field Support
Participate in and help coordinate field activities, which may include flyering, canvassing, phone banking, and volunteer coordination
Help plan, execute, and staff campaign events, including community gatherings, press events, rallies, and volunteer kickoffs
Assist with event logistics such as materials prep and day-of support
Communications & Social Media Support
Draft content for campaign social media channels (Instagram, X/Twitter, Facebook), aligned with campaign messaging
Monitor channels for engagement and flag notable activity to staff
Help update campaign websites and prepare digital content around news cycles, endorsements, and campaign milestones
Support drafting of emails and other communications as needed
Requirements
Qualifications
Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a college or university program
(Political Science, Communications, Public Policy, or related field preferred)
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Good written and verbal communication skills
Familiarity with social media platforms; experience with Canva or similar tools a plus
Eagerness to learn and willingness to pitch in wherever needed
Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive) and/or Microsoft Office
Familiarity with San Francisco's civic or political landscape a plus, but not required
Term & Schedule
Summer 2026, with the opportunity to extend through November 2026 for the right candidate
Occasional evening/weekend work and travel within San Francisco required
