Position Summary
Direct career services and outreach to support student and graduate employment outcomes for the online JD program and accomplish career-related organizational goals, including supporting strategic employer outreach for the career services office. Create and implement strategic plans, track and report results, ensure compliance with ABA and NALP standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Services & Outreach for Online JD students (40%)
Direct services and outreach to support online students and graduates with securing legal experience.
Create career-related educational resources, conduct career-related programming, facilitate networking, provide individualized counseling, assist with preparing resumes and other application materials, conduct mock interviews.
Develop and maintain relationships with students, graduates, and employers, identify their needs, and assist them in achieving their objectives.
Generate student and graduate employment opportunities through employer research and outreach.
Facilitate Early Legal Experience for Online JD students (20%)
Conduct 1:1 career-planning meetings with first-year online students.
Support online students with securing legal experience during law school.
Partner with externship program.
Track and report outcomes.
Graduate Employment Outcomes for Online JD students (20%)
Direct services and outreach to support online graduate employment in bar passage required and JD advantage positions.
Track and report at-graduation and 10 months post-graduation employment outcomes.
Ensure graduate employment data is accurately collected and reported in compliance with ABA and NALP requirements.
Other Duties
Collaborate within CSO and across law school departments.
Maintain knowledge of legal industry/market, career and professionalism trends, and best practices.
Complete strategic employer research and outreach projects.
Support colleagues as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Salary/Pay Information
Commensurate with experience
Anticipated Schedule
Monday to Friday 8.30 AM to 5.00 PM

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- Education – A doctorate degree JD
- Employment – Two year to five year (Equivalent combination of education and employment).

Physical Requirements
Job may require lifting light weight objects (1 to 10 pounds) with no repetitive bending or stooping. Occasionally lift average weight objects (1 to 10 pounds).
Work Environment
Regular exposure to favorable conditions such as those found in a normal office.
