The County of Santa Barbara, California, is seeking an experienced physician executive to serve as its next Chief Medical Officer (CMO), with a primary focus on administration, management, and organizational leadership. Requirements
EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS
Any combination of the required experience, education, and training that would provide the essential knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to acquire the required knowledge and abilities would be:
Experience: Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience managing a community and/or behavioral health program including supervisory responsibilities.
Licenses and Certifications: Candidates must have a medical degree (MD or DO), be Board Certified and licensed as a physician with the State of California. Board Certification in a specialty area may be required for specific positions. For specific positions, possession and maintenance of a valid California driver’s license and the ability to meet automobile insurability requirements of the County or the ability to provide suitable transportation needs may be a condition of continued employment.
