SNOMED International is seeking a visionary and strategy-focused Chief Terminologist to serve as the definitive authority on the development, maintenance, and application of terminology editorial policy. This is a high-profile, 1.0 FTE remote executive role designed for a clinician-leader who can bridge high-level strategic vision with the rigorous execution required to evolve SNOMED CT for the global healthcare community.

The RoleAs the primary decision-maker for editorial policy, you will provide the strategic direction and operational oversight for all SNOMED CT content and mapping activities. Reporting strategically to the CEO and operationally to the COO, you will ensure that the terminology evolves to meet the diverse needs of international members and implementers.

Requirements

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Clinical Pedigree: An advanced degree in medicine, including post-qualification clinical or research training.
• 
  Leadership Tenure: A minimum of five (5) years in a senior leadership role specifically involving clinical terminology strategy, curation, and implementation.
• 
  SNOMED CT Expertise: Proven experience in developing or implementing international health IT standards, with specifically strong knowledge of SNOMED CT.
• 
  Technical & Communication Fluency: Significant experience in Health Informatics and a high level of IT literacy.
• You must be fluent in English and capable of presenting complex subject matter to a global audience.
