Description

Pacific Maritime Group is looking for a reliable and accountable parts runner/company driver for our San Diego location.

In this role, you will be vital in ensuring the timely delivery and pick up of parts and materials to support our operations in the Southern California area. Your contributions will directly impact our quality of customer service, therefore, you must be reliable, on time and accountable, by coordinating with the Purchasing Manager throughout the day.

This is a full-time position, Monday Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Starting wage $21.00

Responsibilities

• Transport parts and materials to various job sites efficiently and safely
• Load and unload materials from trucks, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage
• Maintain accurate records of pickups, deliveries and inventory
• Responsible for checking orders with receipt to verify correct before leaving vendor
• Provide excellent "Face of the Company" personal interactions with vendors
• Assist in organizing and follow up of orders for optimal efficiency
• Self-starting ability and problem-solving skills
• Other duties as assigned

Physical Demands

• Must be able to lift, push, pull 50 lbs. without restriction.
• Current California Driver's License, Motor Vehicle Record in good standing.
• TWIC card or ability to obtain a TWIC as soon as position starts.
• Agility to bend, stoop, or squat, and climb high steps/ladders frequently.
• Must be able to keep balance/equilibrium while performing duties at various heights.
• Ability to work in confined spaces for prolonged periods of time.
• Adequate hearing & vision ability.
• Proper heat/cold tolerance, working in all weather conditions.
• Comfortable working while exposed to grease, dirt, paint, water, etc.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a positive attitude.
