Compensation: $35–$75 per hour, based on experience and session type
About Toluca Lake Pilates
Toluca Lake Pilates is a neighborhood studio rooted in classical Pilates and gently evolved through a contemporary lens. We offer intimate small-group Reformer classes limited to four clients, along with private and duet sessions using a full suite of Balanced Body apparatus.
Our studio values skilled instruction, strong client relationships, professional communication, and a calm, supportive environment where clients can build a sustainable Pilates practice over time.
The Opportunity
We are seeking comprehensively certified Pilates instructors to join our teaching team on a part-time basis.
Instructors teach a combination of small-group Reformer classes and private and duet sessions across the Pilates apparatus.
We are particularly interested in instructors looking to establish a consistent weekly teaching schedule and become part of the studio community over time.
Current teaching opportunities are available during weekday mornings, midday, evenings, and weekends. Schedules are generally built around recurring teaching blocks, with opportunities to add private clients and additional hours as availability and client demand grow.

Requirements
Who We’re Looking For
We’d like to meet instructors who:
Hold a comprehensive Pilates certification from a 450+ hour training program.
Are confident teaching private sessions, duets, and small-group Reformer classes.
Have a strong foundation in classical Pilates with openness to contemporary movement and evolving approaches to teaching.
Provide clear cueing, safe progression, and individualized attention.
Are comfortable working with clients of different ages, abilities, and levels of experience.
Communicate professionally and contribute positively to a collaborative studio environment.
Are reliable and able to maintain a consistent weekly teaching schedule.
Are interested in developing long-term relationships with clients and growing their presence within the studio.
At least one year of teaching experience is preferred, although we welcome applications from newly certified instructors with strong training, professionalism, and readiness to continue developing their teaching practice.
Current professional liability insurance is required.
Experience with Balanced Body equipment and additional backgrounds in movement, rehabilitation, dance, yoga, or fitness are welcome but not required.
