We are building a unique, high-performing medical practice from the ground up and are hiring a founding Family Care Coordinator to work directly with the physician.
This is a rare opportunity for a high-caliber early-career candidate to take ownership of operations and client experience in a growing, high-touch environment.
This role is best suited for someone who is highly dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking ownership without constant direction. You will begin in an operational role and grow into a front-facing position managing relationships and experience for families.
What You’ll Do
Phase 1 (between 0-4 months): Build & Operate
Manage scheduling, logistics, and daily flow with precision
Triage communications (email/text/phone) and respond appropriately
Coordinate vendors and operational needs
Build simple, effective systems and workflows
Keep the practice organized, responsive, and running smoothly
Expectation: You will be trusted to manage important details independently and are expected to notice and address issues before they are pointed out.
Phase 2 (4+ months): Own the Experience
Serve as the primary point of contact for families
Ensure a calm, seamless, and highly personalized experience
Manage communication and follow-through with consistency
Coordinate care logistics across schedules and locations
Build trusted relationships over time
Expectation: The experience should feel effortless from the family’s perspective, even when coordination behind the scenes is exciting and complex.
Ideal Candidate
This role is best suited for candidates who consistently operate with a high level of ownership, attention to detail, and judgment.
You may be a strong fit if you:
Are a recent graduate or early-career candidate from a top university (e.g., Berkeley, Stanford, Ivy League, or equivalent)
Are highly organized, detail-oriented, and reliable
Communicate clearly, professionally, and with good judgment
Stay calm under pressure and prioritize effectively
Take ownership and follow through without prompting
Have strong discretion and attention to nuance
Are interested in general in healthcare plus either operations, hospitality or building something from the ground up
Bonus (not required):
Experience in healthcare, hospitality, or high-touch service environments
Experience supporting executives or managing complex logistics
Compensation
Competitive compensation (typically $32–$45/hr equivalent, depending on experience)
Growth opportunities as the practice expands
Potential path into operations leadership
Why This Role Is Different
Direct mentorship from an experienced physician-founder
Early, meaningful responsibility in a growing venture
Opportunity to shape systems, culture, and experience from the beginning
Exposure to both operational strategy and human-centered care
You will operate at a level of responsibility and exposure uncommon for early-career roles.
