Description
The NP functions in an interdependent role by implementing the appropriate Standardized Procedures (SPs). By using the SPs the NP is able to change treatment regimen after observing signs and symptoms of illness, reactions to treatment, general behavior and physical condition and determines if they are abnormal findings (Ca Nursing Practice Act, subsection(b) of Section 2725). The NP will provide and coordinate the care of patients, provide patient/family education, promote safe continuity of care. The NP also participates in interdisciplinary and clinical rounds, provides education and support, as well as makes appropriate referrals and documents services rendered.
This position is for an Adult Acute Care (AG-ACNP) Nurse Practitioner. The NP will primarily working on the stepdown floor but will cross train to the Cardiothoracic ICU.
Salary range: $93.81-$133.97/hourly
- MSN or DNP with Adult/Gero Acute Care NP specialty- required
- CA RN and CA NP license, State of CA NP Furnishing with Schedule II- required
- National NP Board certification in Adult-Gero Acute Care/Adult Acute Care NP specialty - required
- NPI#, DEA#, Enrollment in PECOS, Enrollment on CURES- required
- Previous NP experience- required
- Surgical Stepdown and/or Trauma/Cardiothoracic ICU experience as NP - required
- BLS and ACLS from AHA or ARC- required
