Locums Obstetrics and Gynecology Physician in California - 24 Hour Call Blocks, Delivery Focused

Structured 5 to 7-day coverage blocks create predictable scheduling with extended time off between assignments. This inpatient-only role focuses on deliveries and obstetric coverage without clinic responsibilities.

Practice & Cases

• Inpatient obstetric coverage only
• Deliveries, cesarean sections, and VBAC management
• Teen and adult patient population
• Solo inpatient coverage with physician and APP support available when needed

Schedule

• 8 to 10 days of coverage per month
• Typically structured as two blocks of 5 to 7 consecutive days
• 24-hour call coverage during assignment blocks
• Includes one weekend per month

Requirements

• Must be an MD or DO
• Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Active California license required
• ACLS, BLS, and DEA required

Logistics

• Airfare, lodging, rental car, and mileage covered
• Travel accommodations provided for scheduled coverage blocks
