The Role

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our growing rehabilitation team, with a strong preference for a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) or an OT actively working toward their CHT credential.

In this role, you will specialize in the rehabilitation of the upper extremity, treating a diverse caseload of post-operative, traumatic, and cumulative trauma conditions. You will work to help our patients regain function and get back to their daily lives.

Key Responsibilities

Evaluate and Treat: Perform comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans for patients with upper extremity injuries and conditions (shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand).
Custom Fabrication: Design, fabricate, and fit custom static and dynamic splints/orthotics.
Collaborate: Work closely with OTs, COTAs and referring physicians to ensure continuity of care.
Educate: Provide thorough patient and family education regarding home exercise programs, joint protection, and injury prevention.
Document: Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant documentation using our EMR system.

Requirements

Education: Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
Licensure: Active and unrestricted Occupational Therapy license in the state of California (or eligible to obtain).
Certification (Preferred): Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) designation. Note: We highly encourage OTs who are passionate about hand therapy and currently tracking their hours toward the CHT exam to apply. Mentorship may be available!
Experience: Previous experience in an outpatient orthopedic or hand therapy setting is strongly preferred.
Requirements: Current CPR/BLS certification.
