Description
OverviewPosition Title: Outside Service Attendant
Department: Golf Operations
FLSA Designation: Non-Exempt (Hourly)
Directly Reports To: Head Golf Professional
Indirectly Reports To: Outside Services Leader
Position Summary
Responsible for being attentive to all members' needs while maintaining a clean, organized work environment throughout all three departments of the outside operations: Practice Facilities, Bag Room & Cart Barn. Relied upon to work efficiently within the procedures of each part of the operation while keeping in line with the standards of The Los Angeles Country Club and the expectations of its membership.

- Must be physically able to do the assigned work as outlined

Essential Responsibilities
Position Responsibilities
Practice Facilities
- Consistently present the entire practice facility in a pre-determined fashion each day.
- Keep chipping greens clear of golf balls after members and guests have used them.
- Rake all bunkers after members and guests use them.
- Keep the range deck clear of broken tees when possible.
- Coordinate with Starter to ensure players proceed to the first tee in a timely and orderly fashion.
- Communicate with Golf Instructors to ensure they have all the necessary supplies for their lessons.
- Stock practice facility with golf balls at all stations by regularly picking and cleaning used balls throughout the day.
- Clean all golf balls hit onto the range before presenting them for use again.
- Perform extra duties with the Golf Professional staff during tournaments and events.
Bag Room
- Keep the bag storage book up to date and match it with assigned bag slots for easy bag retrieval.
- Always be present & visible to deter members from retrieving their own bags.
- Clean all members' clubs before storing them after play.
- Communicate with Starter to pull members' golf bags in a timely fashion.
- Check rental sets to make sure no clubs are missing after use.
- Keep the storage area for bags clean and presentable at all times.
- Perform club repairs, including re-gripping, re-shafting, and other basic services.
- Ensure the Cart Barn Attendant provides the appropriate number of golf carts.
- Greet and assist all members and guests as they come off the course and/or driving range.
- Perform extra duties with the Golf Professional staff during tournaments and events.
Cart Barn
- Maintain daily cleanliness and restock the cart fleet at all times.
- Keep the cart barn clean and organized at all times.
- Use the cart rotation program to ensure equal use across the cart fleet.
- Follow the Armor-all detailing scheduling program to maintain a spotless fleet of carts.
- Report all cart maintenance issues to the immediate supervisor in a timely fashion.
- Communicate with the starter and the bag room attendant to ensure the proper number of carts are parked up top for member and guest use.
- Perform extra duties with the Golf Professional staff during tournaments and events.
