Description
OverviewShadow Hills Golf Club is seeking a driven individual for an Outside Service Attendant role at its hospitality-focused golf property in Indio, California. The position supports daily golf operations and guest service in a fast-paced environment.
Experience Required
- Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Proficient in hospitality, interpersonal skills, attention to detail, Internet technologies, and continuing improvement in Google products.
- Ability to read and speak English.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Desirable knowledge of property management system Springer Miller Systems.
- No certificates, licenses, or registrations required.
- No travel required.
- Must be able to work in varying conditions ranging from fully indoors to fully outdoors depending on business needs.
- Frequent or occasional physical activity including reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, twisting, lifting, and climbing.
- Frequent standing and walking related to inspecting property.
- Constant grasping, turning, and finger dexterity.
- Ability to stand for long periods occasionally.
- Ability to lift/carry up to 25 lbs frequently and 50 lbs occasionally.
- Vision sufficient to view small print and see details clearly beyond arm's reach.
- Hearing sufficient to use telephone/two-way radio, respond to the public, converse with staff, and hear alarms/emergency equipment.
Essential Responsibilities
- Greet players in a friendly manner.
- Have golf cars in place at the podium an hour before first tee time and stage cars with proper amenities.
- Prepare member and guest sides of the range and stock with appropriate amenities.
- Maintain a neat presentation of the podium and bag drop area and greet guests upon arrival and departure.
- Work with the starter on managing play and tee sheets on both golf courses.
- Communicate effectively with independent contractor caddies.
- Clean golf cars and properly store them each evening.
- Clean golf clubs and keep them stored and placed in the appropriate location.
- Keep club fleet clean and inventoried after each use.
- Break down the range setup and pick the range throughout the day; clean pick the range on designated evenings.
- Assist with the setup of Foot Golf on designated evenings.
- Effectively handle multiple tasks.
- Incorporate safe work practices in job performance.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
- Maintain a professional standard in appearance and interactions with members, associates, and guests.
- Support and adhere to service standards.
- Perform other tasks within the scope of golf operations as assigned.
