Description
Skincredible Dermatology is seeking a skilled and compassionate Physician Assistant (PA) to join our medical and cosmetic dermatology practice. The PA will provide comprehensive dermatologic care, including patient evaluations, diagnosis and treatment of medical skin conditions, skin cancer screenings, biopsies, cryotherapy, injections, and other dermatologic procedures within their training, competency, and scope of practice. The position will also provide cosmetic dermatology services, including cosmetic consultations, Botox/Xeomin, dermal fillers, laser treatments, chemical peels, microneedling, and other cosmetic procedures as appropriately trained and credentialed.
The ideal candidate will have strong clinical judgment, excellent communication and patient-care skills, attention to detail, and a professional, team-oriented approach. Responsibilities include developing individualized treatment plans, educating patients, maintaining accurate and timely medical records, obtaining appropriate consent, providing pre- and post-procedure instructions, following up on pathology and diagnostic results, and maintaining compliance with applicable California laws, regulations, HIPAA, and Skincredible Dermatology policies.
Dermatology and cosmetic experience is preferred. The PA must maintain all required California licensure, certifications, and professional credentials and perform all services within their legally authorized scope of practice. The successful candidate will contribute to a positive patient experience while supporting efficient clinic operations and maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and quality care.
Requirements
Current and unrestricted California Physician Assistant (PA) license.
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
Current NCCPA certification, as applicable.
Current DEA registration, if required for the position.
Minimum 2 years of clinical experience preferred; dermatology experience strongly preferred.
Cosmetic dermatology experience preferred, including Botox/Xeomin, fillers, lasers, chemical peels, and/or microneedling.
Experience performing or assisting with dermatologic procedures preferred, including biopsies, cryotherapy, injections, and lesion evaluation.
Strong knowledge of medical dermatology and skin cancer screening.
Excellent clinical judgment and ability to work independently while collaborating with the supervising physician and clinical team.
Strong communication and patient-service skills.
Ability to provide professional, compassionate, and patient-centered care.
Strong attention to detail and accurate, timely medical documentation.
Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and applicable California requirements.
Must perform all clinical and cosmetic services within the PA's education, training, competency, credentialing, and legally authorized scope of practice.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced dermatology practice and maintain efficient patient flow.
