- Product Approval Coordinator
Description
We are seeking a motivated, entrepreneurial part-time Product Approval Director to join its team. This role will give an individual the opportunity to dive deep into the world of entertainment licensing through primarily product approvals. The ideal candidate is one who is organized, confident, articulate, detail oriented and a self-starter. No job is too big or too small for this person; you can enter contract data, while dealing with a tricky licensee, while updating a samples grid. Results matter more than speed in this role. You are a self-starter and okay working from home and occasionally in a shared office space. There is ample opportunity for the right person who is eager to think creatively about how to develop IP and is excited at the opportunity to interface with a variety of worldwide licensees.
Job Responsibilities Include
- Oversee the complete lifecycle of a deal after signature; send art assets to licensees, manage approval process of submitted designs on Brand Comply software, and answer any follow up questions by licensees
- Oversee product sample collection and distribution
- Oversee Licensing Expo trade show set up which includes but is not limited to, booth set up, traveling to Las Vegas, assisting with meeting coordinating, and drafting trade show press releases
- Draft routine press releases to be distributed to the licensing industry trades
- Organization is key in this role; you may be required to track and maintain marketing dates of licensees for example or update contracts in Brand Comply
- Help prepare and build marketing decks and presentations; must have proficiency in PowerPoint or Keynote
Requirements
- Minimum 2-3 years in merchandise licensing preferred
- Proven excellence in the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong oral and written skills
- Proficiency in Dropbox is a plus
- Proficiency in Brand Comply software (or similar licensing software) is a plus
