SJ Wiggins + Company, PC is a growing CPA firm in Menlo Park. Our clients choose us for our emphasis on customer care and our reputation for high-quality services. We’re looking for an experienced tax preparer to join our team on a part-time or seasonal basis, with the goal of a long-term relationship or returning each season.

Pay and schedule

• Compensation based on experience 
• Flexible schedule options available
• Candidate should be available during Peak season (January through April 15) and (Late August through October)
• During peak season ability to work 40+ hours per week, including Saturdays, preferred

What you’ll do

• Gather and organize client data
• Prepare and review federal and state returns for individuals and entities
• Identify tax-saving opportunities within the law
• Prepare tax projections and recommend strategies for each client
• Prepare and interpret financial statements
• Keep up to date on current federal and state tax law changes

Requirements

What we’re looking for

• 4+ years of tax preparation experience, and/or including individual, LLC, Corporations, and multi-state returns
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred 
• Experience with ProSystem fx Tax and ProSystem fx Engagement is a plus
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
• Integrity, professionalism, and a collaborative approach
