- Turnkey Private Practice Ownership- 1-Year Succession Opportunity (confidential)
Description
Skip the corporate grind and secure true clinical and financial autonomy in one of the country's most desirable markets. We are a highly stable, solo medical and surgical ophthalmology practice generating $1M+ in annual gross revenue with a deeply loyal, mostly Medicare-based patient population.
The retiring founder is seeking a motivated, entrepreneurial Comprehensive Ophthalmologist for an accelerated 12-month transition to 100% full ownership. This is a rare, turnkey opportunity to inherit a robust, immediate surgical pipeline and a fully equipped clinical facility in the San Francisco region without the risks, high overhead, or multi-year timeline of a cold start.
This is a pure medical and surgical practice model with no optical retail shop overhead, allowing a new owner to focus entirely on high-value clinical care and surgical outcomes.
The ideal candidate will come on board as an Associate for year one to seamlessly transition patient relationships and surgical volume, with a pre-negotiated, contractually binding buy-sell agreement executing at the 12-month mark. Flexible owner financing (seller note) options are available to help the right candidate bridge the acquisition without prohibitive upfront capital constraints.
Key Practice Highlights:
- Established Patient Base: Steady, predictable volume driven by an excellent local community reputation and an established Medicare demographic.
- Immediate Surgical Volume: Full surgical schedule from day one; high-capture cataract and comprehensive case mix ready to be handed over.
- Turnkey Infrastructure: Fully staffed, highly efficient clinical team, modern diagnostic equipment, and established billing systems in place.
- Autonomy Guaranteed: Complete freedom from private equity metrics, administrative hospital bureaucracy, and corporate mandate constraints.
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible Ophthalmologist (MD or DO).
- Eligibility for, or current licensure in, the State of California.
- Strong clinical and surgical skills in comprehensive ophthalmology (cataract and MIGS-focused).
- Genuine desire for private practice ownership and business leadership.
- Ability to execute a defined 12-month transition timeline.
