Description
San Diego Humane Society is seeking a full-time Wildlife Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our Project Wildlife Medical team!
The RVT will perform physical exams, administer first aid, and conduct daily evaluations of animals in care. Responsibilities include assisting veterinarians with procedures, surgeries, and diagnostics such as blood draws, fecal tests, and radiographs, as well as operating and maintaining medical equipment like digital x-ray machines. The position also involves coordinating patient movement within the care center, ensuring proper diet and housing plans, managing medical inventory, and maintaining clean, well-stocked workspaces.
The role is based at the San Diego Campus and follows a 4/10 alternative work schedule.
The starting pay range for this position is $26.60 to $29.61 per hour, depending on experience, education, and internal equity considerations.
Requirements
Candidates must hold a current California RVT license and have at least one year of clinical or shelter veterinary experience.
